Breakup of Pakistan’s trade data in August: PBS
Pakistan's trade deficit stood at $3.31bn (Rs920.10bn) in August 2026, narrowing by 16.24% compared to a deficit of $3.95bn (Rs1,099.72bn) in July 2026, according to revised data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). On a year-on-year basis, the trade deficit widened by 15.11% compared to $2.87bn (Rs812.00bn) recorded in August 2025. Exports fell by 13.86% MoM to $2.54bn (Rs705.89bn) in August 2026, compared to $2.95bn (Rs820.57bn) in July 2026. On a year-on-year basis, exports rose by 5.22% from $2.42bn (Rs683.21bn) in August 2025.
